Chris Jordan hit 62 off 19 balls against Welsh Fire in one of the most dramatic innings. His side, Southern Brave, secured their first win by defeating Welsh Fire by two runs. Chris Jordan played a crucial role in the victory, scoring an unbeaten 70 off 32 balls.
Southern Brave were struggling at 76-8 before Jordan’s onslaught, which included seven sixes and three fours, helped them post a total of 147-8. The team had lost eight wickets in just 76 balls and were on track for a sub-100 score.
Fast bowler Haris Rauf was the main troublemaker for Welsh Fire, taking 3-27. He dismissed Finn Allen caught behind off a bouncer, bowled George Garton, and bounced out James Fuller.
At the start of his innings, Jordan had only scored eight runs off 14 balls before his partner Ahmed was run out. At that moment, everything looked downhill for Southern Brave, however, he then took center stage and began hitting boundaries on will. He hit his first six off Rauf and continued to dominate against left-arm spinner Roelof van der Merwe.

He hit David Payne for fifth six of his innings as he reached his fifty in just 26 balls. In partnership with Overton, Jordan added 71 runs in just 25 balls, with Jordan contributing 62 of them.
Haris Rauf impressed with his bowling performance for Welsh Fire, taking three wickets for 27 runs. Fellow Pakistan quick Shaheen Afridi also performed well with figures of 1-16.
Despite David Willey’s contribution of 31 runs for Welsh Fire, they fell short in the chase. With three runs needed off the final ball, Willey skied Tymal Mills’ delivery and was caught.
